A loyalty program\u2019s development can move to different zones as the process of design and deployment progresses.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image mb-4 text-center\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"692\" height=\"580\" src=\"https:\/\/gratifii.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/7-Zones-of-Loyalty-Program-Performance.jpg\" alt=\"Seven-Zones-of-Loyalty-Program-Performance\" class=\"wp-image-1738\" style=\"object-fit:cover\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gratifii.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/7-Zones-of-Loyalty-Program-Performance.jpg 692w, https:\/\/gratifii.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/7-Zones-of-Loyalty-Program-Performance-300x251.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 692px) 100vw, 692px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Zone 1: Business<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Zone 1 focus is the business = The program is a <em>profitable<\/em> and <em>sustainable<\/em> asset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Profitable<\/strong> = Generates incremental profit<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Sustainable<\/strong> = Built for the long-term<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gain clarity on the vision, goals, and measures of success for your program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Why do you need a program?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What problems will a program solve for the business and for customers?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure the senior leadership team are committed to the program as a business growth asset and not only a marketing initiative.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build out the financial ecosystem so you have real-time visibility of the program\u2019s profitability (Profit and Loss), cash flow and balance sheet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Zone 2: Members<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Zone 2 focus are the members = Build <em>behaviour<\/em>, <em>belief<\/em> and <em>belonging<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Behaviour<\/strong> = Transacting with your brand. Identify your value segments and review their purchase behaviour with an RFM analysis (recency, frequency and monetary).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Belief<\/strong> = Emotional connection to your brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Belonging<\/strong> = Identifying with your brand purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Who are your customers? Understand your customers \u2013 their transactional behaviour, emotional connection to your brand and sense of belonging to your brand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Zone 3: Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Zone 3 focus is the program proposition = The program is designed to be <em>meaningful<\/em> and <em>desirable<\/em> to your members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Design a Quality Program Proposition that is meaningful and desirable to your members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Meaningful<\/strong> = The program is relevant to your members lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Desirable<\/strong> = Being a member of the program is worthwhile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">four factors<\/span> to a Quality Program Proposition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Solve a customer problem or pain point:<\/strong><br>Problems in the world around us (for example, sustainability), problems in the life of a customer and the problems or points of friction when they experience your brand.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Build a program structure to meet the strategy based on five pillars:<\/strong><br><em>Visibility<\/em> \u2013 visible or invisible program,<br><em>Model<\/em> \u2013 uniquely owned or borrowed from a coalition program,<br><em>Structure<\/em> \u2013 flat or tiered,<br><em>Type<\/em> \u2013 collect and cash-in or package of benefits and;<br><em>Payment<\/em> \u2013 paid or free.<br>Combinations of these pillars are common.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Blend the six currencies customers care about to move them from transactional to emotional connections:<\/strong><br>The rewards and benefits of a program are based on six currencies customers care about and they are (with the voice of the customer). Including:<br><em>Financial:<\/em> \u201cShow me the money\u201d<br><em>Experiential:<\/em> \u201cAdd moments of magic to my life\u201d<br><em>Functional:<\/em> \u201cSave me time. Make life easy for me\u201d<br><em>Personal: <\/em>\u201cShow me you know me. Make me feel special\u201d<br><em>Choice:<\/em> \u201cLet me choose my rewards\u201d<br><em>Social:<\/em> \u201cConnect me with community and causes\u201d<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Execute an exceptional experience:<\/strong><br>From member onboarding to ongoing interaction ensuring the experience is simple, personal, and valuable, surrounded by surprise and delight!<br>Add to the four factors, the need to make your program a proof point of your brand proposition and distinctive from competitors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Zone 4: Team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Zone 4 focus is the team = The program needs <em>team belief and buy-in<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Team belief and buy-in = Everyone in the business believes in the benefits of the program to the business and to members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your team are critical to the ongoing success of the program. They need to enrol in the program, know what\u2019s expected and the metrics to achieve, be able explain the program clearly and succinctly, and be champions of the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Zone 5: Technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Zone 5 focus is the technology = The program is enabled by technology that is fit-for-new vs fit-for-future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Does the current technology architecture provide the opportunity to create the best possible member experience, personalisation and relevant messaging for now and for the future? This will depend on how Zone 3 \u2013 the \u2018Quality Program Proposition\u2019 has been designed to suit the technology infrastructure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Zone 6: Data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Zone 6 focus is data = Data captured for analysis and relevant action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Integrated into technology enablement is how the data is captured, stored and accessed to analyse for insights to take relevant action.
